So, let’s start. What has AxioWorks been up to?

We have just released a new update for SQList 6 (version 6.2.1.0). It had been a while since we released the last update, it was back in April 2020 and a lot has happened since! This new release includes two very important additions:

  1. we changed the way SQList handles SharePoint Online throttling;
  2. we added a filter to the event log.

Check out our blog article New version of AxioWorks SQList released (6.2.1.0) for all the details. So that you know, we are already working on the next release, it is our intention to release updates more frequently now. There are endless improvements that can be made to SQList 6.

We are also expanding our sale network and looking for sales agents and resellers. If you are interested in adding SQList to your product portfolio or integrate it with your current solution, please check this opportunity’s details here: Grow with Us : An Opportunity to Work with AxioWorks.

Focus blog entry: Generate Power BI Charts from live MS Lists data

Every month we will nominate the “Focus blog entry”: an article chosen from our blog that we’d like to bring to your attention. This month’s choice is Generate Power BI Charts from live MS Lists data.

Check it out, we use Microsoft Lists to create an issue tracking solution using an out of the box template and SQList to synchronise data from Microsoft Lists into SQL Server tables. Finally, we use Power BI to generate charts on live data from the issue tracking lists connecting the the SQL tables, hence avoiding all the limitations and poor performance that a direct connection to the SharePoint lists would bring.

SQList feature of the month: Export attachments

Did you know that you can use SQList to export attachments from SharePoint lists and libraries? Watch this short video on how to Export SharePoint Attachments to SQL Server; you can export the list of attachments as well as download the actual document and store it as a BLOB in the table.
