Announcing SQList V3 with SharePoint Online Support

Now also supports SharePoint Online in Office365!

We are pleased to announce version 3 of our SQList product, a lightweight Windows Service that can be installed anywhere and will replicate SharePoint lists, libraries and files from SharePoint (Online and OnPremise) to a normalised set of SQL Server tables that are built dynamically.

Features include:

  • Support for SharePoint 2007, 2010, 2013 and SharePoint Online in Office365
  • Exports all the lists and libraries in a SharePoint site as a set of normalised tables to any SQL Server database;
  • Selective replication: precisely control the lists and files you wish to replicate;
  • Parallel list sychronisation: replicate multiple sites and lists in parallel for enchanced performance;
  • Continuously updates the target SQL tables (data and structure) as your SharePoint site changes, every few seconds, or on a schedule you define;
  • Builds an indexed SQL table for each list or library on the fly;
  • Exports attachments and documents, as well as list data, and stores them as binary objects in the target SQL database
  • Runs as a lightweight Windows service that can be hosted on almost any Windows server or desktop PC;
  • Leverage the low cost, rapid assembly and advanced UI, workflow, document management, collaboration features and access control of SharePoint to manage content, data, and documents for your application

Using SSIS to Export Lists from SharePoint to SQL Server – An Alternative Approach

If you are looking at exporting SharePoint List data to SQL server then one of the most common approaches is to use SQL Server Integration Services or SSIS to get the job done the steps are something like:

THIS IS A LONG AND PAINFUL PROCESS!

What’s more you will need to make changes every time your SharePoint list schema changes.
THERE MUST BE AN EASIER WAY? YES THERE IS!
What if I could show you how to set up continuous export of SharePoint list and library data including all blobs and attachments from MULTIPLE SharePoint lists and libraries in 5-10 minutes?  What if I told you this could also keep the SharePoint lists and library schemas up to date in sql server in normalised SQL Server database tables.
Take a look at AxioWorks SQList which is a lightweight windows service that requires no changes to your SharePoint infrastructure. It works with SharePoint 2007, 2010, 2013 and SharePoint online in Office365.  It will selectively replicate lists and libraries in a SharePoint site as a set of normalised tables to any SQL Server database.
Below is a demo of how you can get your SharePoint lists, libraries, files and attachment into normalised sql server databases and continuously replicate them in just a few minutes:

Continuously Exporting SharePoint Online and SharePoint OnPremise Data to SQL Server – A Demo

In this demo video I will explain how we can use AxioWorks SQList to continuously replicate SharePoint OnPremise and SharePoint Online list and library data to normalised SQL Server tables.

I’ll show how easy it is to set up this continuous replication, how we can install AxioWorks SQList anywhere and how we don’t need to make any changes to our SharePoint farm as well as showing some of the ways we can use our SharePoint data form SQL Server.

Please feel free to download a 30 day fully functional trial of AxioWork SQList which will allow you to replicate your own SharePoint data to SQL Server.
